As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple teams responsible for the implementation of a critical software initiative that includes DataOps, Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions and Low Code/No Code (LCNC) implementations. You will be responsible for successful delivery of the project, working directly with the Army and other military stakeholders to deliver cutting-edge solutions in an Agile environment. This position requires building a strong partnership with the Army leaders and stakeholders while maintaining a robust relationship with the development team. A deep understanding of the military's operational needs is a key to success.

The ideal candidate will have a solid project management background with a strong understanding of software development, LCNC and AI technologies. Prior military experience (specifically C2 or logistics) or a background in supporting military projects is highly preferred. Your success in this role will depend on your ability to engage with the customer, understand their operational context and ensure the solution being delivered meets the business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning: Develop and execute agile project plans, defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.

Project Delivery: Drive delivery of AI-driven software solutions in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain transparency on project progress and potential roadblocks.

Customer Engagement: Gain a deep understanding of the Army's needs and how they operate. Ensure that the team delivers solutions in a consultative manner that meet the Army’s unique requirements.

Stakeholder Management: Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and align project objectives with organizational goals.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines or deliverables. Establish and implement risk mitigation strategies to address challenges promptly.

Stakeholder Communication: Maintain strong communication with internal and external stakeholders, particularly military personnel, ensuring alignment and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Project Briefs: Generate and present regular project status reports and product briefs in the approved format to the Army leadership.

Software Standards: Work with technical leadership to deliver high-quality software solutions that adhere to the Army standards and approved methodologies and tools.

Data Management Standards: Work with technical leadership to deliver high-quality data centric solutions that adhere to the Army data standards.

Project Quality: Ensure the quality of Software implementations by working with various teams to conduct thorough testing and validation processes.

Team Leadership: Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AI Engineers, Developers, Army Subject Matter Experts and QA Engineers.

Team Communication: Foster effective communication and coordination among team members to ensure project milestones are met.

Performance Management: Monitor team performance and recommend improvements as needed.

Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by working with the team to identify process improvements and optimizing workflows.

Documentation and Reporting: Ensure the project has detailed project documentation, including requirements, design specifications, testing plans and other Scrum artifacts (e.g., backlog, sprint reports etc.)

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager, including experience with software development projects.
• Project Management experience using Agile and Iterative processes
• Highly skilled in driving and managing business discussions including Planning, Scope, Priority, Management, Process, and Change Management discussions.
• Demonstrated experience in software development, with a solid understanding of AI and LCNC technologies and how they are applied in real-world projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work closely with technical teams and customers to ensure that the product delivered meets business and operational needs.
• Prior experience working with the U.S. Army or another branch of the military is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including military personnel.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to guide and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Ability to convert concepts into professional documents including but not limited to professional presentations.
• Proven experience working in high-pressure environments, delivering complex solutions with attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to navigate and thrive in a highly regulated and structured environment such as military or government contracting.
• Familiarity with AI, LCNC, and software development and related tools is a significant advantage.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior military experience or experience working directly with military teams.
• Familiarity with DoD regulations and standards, including those related to software development and security.
• Experience with large-scale AI projects or government-sponsored initiatives.
• Experience with Appian
• Experience with Kafka
• Experience with data fabrics and open data concepts
• Understanding of military operations, workflows, and unique challenges in software implementation.
