About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Machine Learning (ML) Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, refining, and deploying machine learning models on the Azure platform. You will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to create ML solutions that drive data-driven decision-making and support our business objectives. By joining our organization, you'll be part of the team gathering valuable insights into Veterans' experiences, making a real impact in improving their interactions with VA services!

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and generative AI solutions using Azure Machine Learning Services.
• Implement graph algorithms tailored to business needs.
• Implement NLP solutions tailored to business needs.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Optimize and maintain machine learning workflows using Databricks and MLFlow.
• Apply best practices in MLOps for continuous integration and delivery of ML solutions.
• Evaluate and integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) for various use cases.
• Conduct performance tuning and ensure scalability of machine learning models in the cloud.
• Document solutions and processes to ensure reproducibility and compliance.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing machine learning, generative AI, or graph algorithms in an academic or professional setting.
• Proficiency in programming with Python.
• Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Proven experience developing and deploying solutions in a cloud environment (preferably Azure).
• Hands-on experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques.
• Proficiency in working with Databricks for data processing and machine learning workflows.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with machine learning development specifically in Azure environments.
• Familiarity with Agentic AI concepts and applications.
• Experience with Generative AI beyond LLMs, including diffusion models and GANs.
• Knowledge and practical experience with Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) principles.
• Hands-on experience with MLFlow for managing ML lifecycle.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
