Role Overview:

As a Logistics Subject Matter Expert (SME) you will have a unique opportunity to bridge military logistics expertise with cutting-edge technology development. You will play a critical role in supporting the implementation of a crucial software initiative that integrates DataOps, Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions, and Low Code/No Code (LCNC) platforms.

As a Logistics SME, you will work closely with Army leaders and stakeholders to align technology solutions with customer objectives and Army regulations. You will be responsible for translating Army logistics requirements, regulations, and guidance into actionable software development specifications for the development team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Visualize and articulate Army logistics business processes and operational workflows. Serve as a trusted advisor on Army logistics requirements and regulations.
  • Operational Expertise: Leverage extensive experience from company and below as well as battalion and brigade-level staff operations to provide actionable insights. Utilize expertise in arranging operations in time, space, and purpose to support mission objectives.
  • System Design and Development: Translate military logistics requirements, regulations, and guidance into clear, actionable software development requirements. Develop and document process flows to enhance team understanding and convey complex concepts effectively.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with Army customers, serving as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team. Prepare and deliver briefings for senior military leaders, ensuring clear communication and strategic alignment.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with software development teams to ensure accurate implementation of Army logistics requirements.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive military experience, with a strong background in Army logistics and operations.
  • Proven experience operating in company teams as well as battalion and brigade-level staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize military operations.
  • Experience working with software development teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Command and General Staff College or Intermediate Level Education (ILE).
  • Experience as a Commander or First Sergeant is highly desirable.
  • Certification as a Master Logistician by the Society of Logistics Engineers (SOLE).
  • Experience in theater logistics and ground operations.
  • Army experience is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience as an Army officer.
